Mercedes-Benz is about to bring its top-of-the-line EQS line to India and its AMG version. The Mercedes Benz AMG EQS 580, the EQS 53 4MATIC+, will come out before the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 will be made in India (Completely Built Unit). The AMG EQS 53 will go up against the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and the Audi RS e-tron GT when it comes out here.
In Sport and Sport+ modes, Mercedes’ BMS (Battery Management System) ensures that battery energy is used efficiently. Both the EQS 580 and the AMG EQS 53 will have the same 400V, 107.8kWh lithium-ion battery that is charged quickly by a 200W charger. The range of the AMG EQS 53 is 513–570 km, while the range of the EQS 580 is 547 km. Mercedes says that the drag co-efficient of the EQS’s smooth body is as low as 0.20.
The AMG EQS 53 has 649 hp and 950 Nm of torque as standard. But if you add the Dynamic Plus package. The power goes up to 751 hp in Race Start mode. The EQS 580 has 516 hp and 855 Nm of torque. It can speed up from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The AMG can do the same thing in 3.4 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The AMG EQS 53 and EQS 580, the top models of their brand, have the brand’s latest multi-link front and rear suspension. It model has a Ride Control+ suspension package in addition to both models’ many drive modes. The later modes also make the sound of the engine.
Mercedes-Benz EQS models also have a closed-grille version of the Panemircana design that we’ve seen on the S-class range. The rear diffuser changed. It now has side air intakes that bring air to the batteries to cool them. A bigger rear spoiler finishes off the style at the back. Mercedes says that they tested the EQS in a wind tunnel to improve how the air flows around the car.
